This retreat is packed with applicable information and networking opportunities for writers of every genre. This Retreat is for Writers and Readers alike. Join experienced authors, playwrights, poets, publishers and more, for a time of learning, growing, and celebrating success! This years Keynote addresses are by: Authors & Publishers Lynn Pinder (of Baltimore Maryland) & Deborah Smart (of Clemington, NJ).
Learn both the creative and business sides of being a writer. Get answers to your questions from our Friday Night's Publisher's Panel and Reception. On Saturday enjoy an array of interactive workshops teaching how to write, how to edit your own work, how to market and so much more. (ALL genres of writing are welcome and expected!)
Also at this retreat you will have an opportunity for one on one with the authors. Must be scheduled prior to the event date.

STAY FOCUSED WRITERS RETREAT
Created for writers with varying interests and of a variety of writing genres “Stay Focused Writers Retreat” is an annual gathering of writers from near and far. Retreat organizers have decided that all of us together know more than any one of us alone. When we gather annually it is a time for us to refocus our energy, motives, and time toward perfecting our craft and interests. The retreat itself has a focus of: Information, Partnership and Strategies (IPS).
INFORMATION: The Stay Focused Writers Retreat provides a wealth of information over the course of two days. The first is brought to you during a panel discussion on Publishing. The panel consists of experienced authors, editors, illustrators, and publishers. Retreat panel discussions range from ePublishing to self-publishing; how to choose a publisher; what should I expect to contribute in time and money; how do you select an experienced editor/illustrator; and so much more.
The second day or the retreat is loaded with informative and educational workshops from morning until evening. This years topics include: Giving Purpose and Intent to Your Writing; Poetry & Prose Electric; Learning to Write; Creative Business Writing; Business Letter Writing; Presenting Yourself As An Author/Writer.
