Saturday's Workshop List:

Building Your Social Media Platform

"I've built my social platform right on Facebook and that's it I am done!"  Do you feel the same way?  You have created the account, requested friends and posted a few pictures, and waiting for clients to ring your phone off the hook with proposals.  By definition a “platform” is “an opportunity for doing something”. Let us help you unveil just that in the world of social media. Join us for an informative, interactive workshop to give you strategies and tips to BUILD YOUR SOCIAL PLATFORM. --Rhonda Hammond

Creative Business Writing – (A Creative Approach to Strategic Communications)
Discover how to define your mission and vision put words to your passion and niche. Develop a practical approach to taking your information and bringing it to your bottom line. This workshop will look at all aspects of strategic communications and provide a connection to those things that inspire us to do business. --Billy R. Davis

Giving Purpose and Intent to Your Writing
You’ve heard everyone has a story. And, you said, one day I’ll write mine.  Before you pick up a pen or start pounding the keys of your laptop, understand the intent and purpose of your writing and side step frustration and unreal goals. Find out that your story, script, poem, article is more than just a collection of words, ideas or imagery, but perhaps a tool to reach (and minister to) someone in this world of seven billion plus. -- Terrance Clark

Focus on Your Publishing Platform (eBook and Print – The Birthing Experience)
Building a successful writing career is like building a home or a family.  You must begin with a strong foundation.  Focus on Your Publishing Platform will help you focus on the steps to become a successful writer, author and independent publisher. --Deborah Smart

Poetry & Prose Electric
Recharge your writing with a workshop designed to help you light a fire in your readers’ minds with words that crackle on the page. Through interactive exercises and word play, learn to write unique descriptions that make your writing stand out. Get rid of smoldering clichés and ignite new phrases that will electrify your audience. --Shawn R. Jones

The smART of Writing a Novel
Covering more than just how to get started. A workshop on what you need to know and do to write a novel and work toward getting your novel published. Touching a little on self-publishing, subsidy / vanity publishing, and traditional publishing and what you need to know to not be the person crying later because you just learned of the mistake you may have made. --Vanessa Davis Griggs
